Near Tromso, Norway

After 8 days in Norway, I was blessed with the experience to watch dancing lights of Aurora Borealis. It was challenging to shoot it as I could only use basically one composition on the north sky and the widest lens pointed upwards. Northern lights are constantly moving hence the faster the exposure time, the better. But at the same time, it was crucial to have some detail in the rest of the scene, too. The only way to technically achieve this was to expose for 50 seconds, at 3.5 and ISO 400. I guess a little bit (not the full) moon would allow for shorter exposures. And next time with the film. :-)
